Lyrics

Verse 1

You are my Strength

When I am weak.

You are the Treasure

That I seek.

You are my All in all.

Seeking You

As a precious Jewel,

Lord to give up I’d be a fool.

You are my All in all!

Chorus

Jesus, Lamb of God,

Worthy is Your Name.

Jesus, Lamb of God,

Worthy is Your Name.

Verse 2

Taking my cross,

My sin my shame,

Rising again

I praise Your Name.

You are my All in all.

When I fall down

You lift me up.

When I am dry

You fill my cup.

You are my All in all.

Verse 3

When the dark powers

Had done their worst

Jesus brought victory

O’er the curse.

You are my All in all.

Death could not

Hold the King of kings.

Now to His heirs

New life He brings.

You are my All in all.

Behind the Hymn

"You Are My All in All" was written by Dennis Jernigan in 1991, born out of a deeply personal season of spiritual struggle and transformation. Jernigan grew up in rural Oklahoma and battled with a profound sense of shame and identity crisis for years before experiencing what he describes as a powerful encounter with God's love and acceptance. The hymn emerged from his journaling and prayer life as a declaration of complete dependence on Christ as the source of all strength, worth, and identity. The line "You are my strength when I am weak, You are the treasure that I seek" reflects Jernigan's own journey from brokenness to wholeness in Christ. The simplicity of the melody and the intimacy of the lyrics made the song widely accessible, and it quickly spread through churches across denominational lines during the 1990s praise and worship movement. Jernigan has written hundreds of worship songs, but this remains his most recognized work — a testament to the power of authentic, personal worship that resonates with the universal human experience of needing a Saviour.
