Cornerstone Reformed Baptist Church — handling of personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Cornerstone Reformed Baptist Church (CRBC) and governs the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and handling of personal information through this website and any related interactions with the church.
CRBC handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information Collected
CRBC collects only personal information reasonably necessary for its functions:
- Identification and contact data: name, email address, phone number, where submitted by the individual.
- Correspondence: the content of messages submitted via contact forms or email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages accessed, collected automatically by standard server logs.
Sensitive information, as defined under the Privacy Act, is not knowingly collected through this website.
3. Purpose of Collection and Use
Personal information is used solely for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries submitted to CRBC.
- Providing requested pastoral or administrative follow-up.
- Sending communications expressly requested by the individual.
- Maintaining the security and operational integrity of the website.
Personal information will not be used for a secondary purpose unrelated to the above without consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
4. Disclosure
CRBC does not sell, rent, trade, or licence personal information. Disclosure is limited to:
- Authorised members of CRBC's leadership where necessary to respond to a request.

Some service providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. CRBC takes reasonable steps to ensure such transfers comply with APP 8.
6. Data Security
Personal information is held using reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission and access restricted to authorised personnel. No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as fully secure.
7. Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Information no longer required is destroyed or de-identified.
8. Access and Correction
An individual may request to:
- Access personal information held by CRBC.
- Correct inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading information.
- Request deletion of information no longer required to be retained.
- Withdraw consent to receive communications.
Requests must be submitted in writing to the contact address below. CRBC will respond within a reasonable period, ordinarily within 30 days. No fee applies to lodging a request.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children under 16 and CRBC does not knowingly collect personal information from minors through it. Any such information identified will be deleted on request.
10. Complaints
Complaints regarding the handling of personal information must be submitted in writing to CRBC at the contact address below. CRBC will acknowledge receipt and respond within 30 days.

11. Amendments
This Policy may be amended at any time. The current version is published on this page, with the effective date noted below. Continued use of the website following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
