The Lord said to Moses, See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uriah, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God. with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in every craft.

And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiaf, the son of Ahizamak, of the tribe of them and i have given to all able men ability that they may make all that i have commanded you the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony and the mercy seat that is on it and all the furnishings of the tent the table and its utensils and the pure lampstand with all its utensils and the altar of incense and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin and its stand and the finely worked garments, the holy garments of Aaron, the priest, and the garments of his sons, of their service as priests, and the anointing oiled and the fragrant incense for the holy place, according to all that I have commended you, they shall do. And the Lord said to Moses, You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, Above all, you shall keep my Sabbaths. But this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations. You may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. You shall keep the Sabbath because it is holy for you.

Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. Therefore, the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations as a covenant forever.

It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth. And on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed. And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. Amen. This is the word of God.

Now, brothers and sisters and friends, we have a very important chapter here. Because Moses has been 40 days on the mountain speaking face-to-face with God and receiving all the instructions. All the instructions that we have studied so far in putting together the tabernacle, these were received by Moses on the top of the mountain. And this conversation of God with Moses as the intermediary of the people of Israel is now coming to an end. The construction of the putting together of the tabernacle is going to start in chapter 35.

So everything that we have explained to you, the tabernacle and the different furniture of the tabernacle. Those were the instructions that the Lord gave to Moses while he was with him on the mountain. Now imagine that. A man spent 40 days speaking with God and receiving instructions. Moses is not the same.

When he finished that conversation with God, his face was shining. The shining glory of God was on him to the point that the people of Israel will be afraid of Moses because this man has been changed. Nobody who accesses or enters into the presence of God for that long period receiving instructions from God himself will remain the same. In this case, Moses received brothers and sisters and friends instructions for this tabernacle. So many details were given about this tabernacle.

So many precise details about every particular aspect of the tabernacle and the furniture that was supposed to be in the tabernacle. Yet, in the midst of the abundance of detail, there are many things that were not instructed and they were not said. Who was going to say what was going to be the shape of the cherubims or the angels? Who was going to say how much water was going to be in the basin or the details of the design, the design of the little furniture, the little aspects of the tabernacle? Well, the Lord had a plan to make sure that even those details that he had not given in a clear instructions to Moses were going to happen as they were supposed to happen.

How does the God of this universe do it? Well, He feels with his spirit two chosen men, in this case, Bezalel and Ojulya. These two men, one of the tribe of Dan and the other one of the tribe of Judah. They are chosen now by God, and they are filled with the spirit of God. them to completion according to his perfect will.

That's what happens, brothers and sisters, when man enters in communion with God and his spirit. That is not that man who lives anymore. That is the spirit of God in him, guiding him and leading him unto the will of God. That's how all the instructions of the tabernacle and the details will be given to you. the people of israel that's just as in creation that god created everything and on the seventh day he entered into a sabbath rest After Moses has received the instructions from the Lord to do everything that corresponds to this tabernacle, which is a foreshadowing of the Garden of Eden, now he receives instructions about the Sabbath.

It happened in the garden. God created everything and then he entered into the seventh day, which is rest. And now it happens also with instructions given to Moses. He received instructions of everything for the tabernacle. And then the last instruction that he receives is about the Sabbath.

Now, my beloved brothers and sisters, there's something very important that I want you to point your attention to, and that is found in verse 13, because that's going to help us to understand the beauty and the importance of this concept of the Sabbath or the Shabbat rest. This is verse 13 in chapter 31. It says you are to speak to the people of Israel and say above all, you shall keep my Sabbath for this is a sign between me And you throughout your generations that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. It is that I, the Lord, sanctify you. That is that the Lord God of Israel is the one that make the people of Israel.

holy. It is God the one that sets apart the people of Israel. The sanctification, the holiness of the people of Israel cannot come by any other means than by God himself. Israel was under the bandage of the people of Israel, and then God came to divide, to separate, and to choose his people unto holiness. Now the people of Israel being separated from the schemes of Israel, from the schemes of Egypt, and from the bandage of slavery, now in the wilderness, Among them, a place was chosen as a holy place for God to reveal Himself to these holy people, these separated people, these devoted people unto God.

Now, God gave them a place called Tabernacle in which He was going to sanctify them. You see, God of Israel was in the midst of Israel, but he chose to reveal himself to the people of Israel in the tabernacle. This was the place, the chosen place among the people of Israel. He chose divide and separate a location for God to reveal himself to the people that he had chosen. from the bondage that they were under Egypt.

God is a God that chooses the separates that divides. He had done it with the tabernacle. He had done it with a location with a physical place. And now The Lord is going to do it with a block off time. You see, in the Lord, all days are holy, but in just in the same way that in the lower, all the presence of the Lord was in the midst of Israel.

But yet he decided to set apart a specific location, namely the tabernacle to sanctify his people. You also chooses a block of time, a day to make it holy. That's what verse 14 says. Pay attention to verse 14. It is God who sanctifies the people, right?

Verse 13. And then in verse 14, he says, You shall keep the Sabbath because it is holy. for you that were holy kadesh there speaks of holiness and better than it is holy for you unto you it should be it is holiness unto you brothers and sisters the only way that the people of God could be sanctified, it was by God himself. He first gave them a space, a place, a location, the tabernacle in which they will be able to offer sacrifices and they will make atonement for their sins. They will be sanctified in a sense.

But the Lord also gave them a portion of time, a block of time that will make them or give them or will be holiness unto them. You see, the tabernacle was the means by which the holiness of God will be given to the people and also the keeping of the Sabbath. It was a means by which God will give his holiness unto the people. It was the tabernacle, a place, and it was also the Sabbath, a portion of time, means by which the Lord God of Israel will make his people holy. to the point that whatever defilement to the tabernacle or whatever violation of the Sabbath will be considered a capital sin.

You see, it says in the end of verse 14, everyone who profanes the Sabbath day shall be put to death. And this, spiritually speaking, means that the people will be not only separated physically from among the people of God, but this is also a spiritual death. They will be cut off. from the covenant of God. Now, brothers and sisters, I don't know if you are seeing it here, because just as the tabernacle, it is a type of the one who came to dwell among us.

And just as the tabernacle is a type of the means by which God the Father sanctifies, namely Jesus Christ, the Son, just as the tabernacle is the location that gives holiness to the people of Israel. The true Israel, those who are circumcised in the heart, the Sabbath is also a type of the eternal rest that we have in the person of Jesus Christ. Hebrews chapter four says that we are to enter into that rest, and that is by faith, by having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because just as the Sabbath was holiness unto the people of Israel, Jesus Christ, the eternal rest, the eternal Sabbath is the means by which we can obtain eternal holiness, eternal righteousness in the eyes of the Lord and be made set apart, not periodically, not by means of obedience, but by means of the perfect imputed righteousness of the Lord, Jesus Christ. So the people of Israel were to observe a day every week that symbolized the rest that they were supposed to enter, just foreshadowing the rest into which got the father or got entered in creation.

when a person is visited by the Spirit and is made a new creation. And once that person has saving faith in Jesus Christ, the one who died upon the cross, that person is vitally united to Jesus Christ. And he, as the author of Hebrews says in chapter four, he or she enters an eternal rest, enters an eternal rest that it is not about a particular day, but it's about eternity. A rest that does not depend on the obedience and the keeping of a covenant that is obsolete, but rather it is instituted and depends on the absolute Lord Jesus Christ, to the requirements of the law, and that righteousness imputed to those who have faith. You see, people under the Old Testament, they have the risk of being cut off from among the people if they violated anything that pertained to this sacred place, either the tabernacle or this sacred portion of time, the Sabbath.

But in Christ, He, being the person that has fulfilled all the requirements of the law, now we are not under the curse of the law unto death, but Christ has become the end of the law for righteousness for everyone who believes. And being united to Him, we can say that we dwell in the eternal presence of God, because now it is not about a temporal temple, But we are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells among us. And not only individually, but covenantally. And it's not about a rest of the body, but it's a rest of the soul. That it does not depend on us anymore, but our eyes put in the person of Jesus Christ.
